CAMBRIDGE, MASSACHUSETTS – January 11, 2022 – Paragonix Technologies, Inc., a leading provider of donor organ preservation and transport systems, announced the first time, combination use of LIVERguard™ and Paragonix SherpaPak® to provide advanced preservation for a heart and liver from the same donor.

Legacy of Hope, an Alabama-based Organ Procurement Organization, supported the first-time clinical use of LIVERguard™ Donor Liver Preservation System, and Paragonix SherpaPak, Cardiac Transport System, to provide advanced cold storage, monitoring, and preservation of these critical organs during transport to the donor recipients.

Legacy of Hope is an invaluable partner in supporting the use of advanced preservation technology utilized by the recovering transplant teams. “Our mission is to shepherd the gift of life to those in need of organ and tissue transplants and we happily direct our efforts towards maximizing this wonderful gift, including supporting our transplant programs and patients through the use of advanced preservation technology”, said Chris Meeks, Executive Director of Legacy of Hope.
